I came here to Dance and for You to Dance with Me
SITE SPECIFIC INSTALLATION, LINOLEUM, FLOOR TAPE 1300X800 cm
2022
A site-specific installation with a gym floor as a reference to the public halls in Sweden where the Swedish-Chilean diaspora taught their children Chilean folk dances. Instead of the classic floor tape outlining sports activities, the floor tape guides the visitor through different folkloric dances and dance steps gathered from the archives in Chile.

Something Big of a Dream
TWO-PART INSTALLATION. BANNER 190X220 cm, WROUGHT IRON BALCONY 1:1 scale
2022
This installation comprises two components: an image capturing a man standing on a balcony, juxtaposed with a replica of the very iron balcony depicted in the image. It serves as a poignant reflection on themes of resistance and the enduring struggle for democracy.
The figure in the image is Antonio Aguirre Vasquez, one among the many Detained-Disappeared individuals during the dictatorship in Chile (1973-1989). Positioned on a balcony of the governmental house the day of the coup d’etat the 11th of September 1973, Antonio staunchly defended his president, his people, and the aspiration for a brighter and more equal future.
